On March 6, Lviv-based war journalist of the Ekspres Newspaper, Victor Dudar, 44, was killed in combat during the defense of Mykolaiv. In 2014, Victor Dudar volunteered to fight in eastern Ukraine, where he was part of the 80th air assault brigade. Upon his return, Dudar continued working as a journalist.
“I returned a different person from the war. All problems in comparison with the events taking place at war don’t seem as important as they used to be,” Victor Dudar said.
From the first day of Russia’s onslaught against Ukraine, Dudar set out to the frontline as a reservist with combat experience. He was awarded the Order for Courage of the 3rd degree posthumously.
