On July 14, Volodymyr Datsenko, a journalist with the NGO Road Control, volunteer, and defender of Ukraine, died due to the shelling of the Vinnytsia city center. That day he had taken his friend in combat to a private clinic that had completely burned down. For two days, Volodymyr Datsenko was on a missing list. His death was confirmed on July 15, and his charred press card was found at the scene of his murder.
From the beginning of the full-scale invasion, Datsenko and his colleagues from Road Control: Vinnytsia helped to patrol the city streets. He enlisted in the army after it became relatively calm in Vinnytsia.
Volodymyr Datsenko had three children, parents, a sister, and a girlfriend whom he planned to marry after the war.
