On May 20, it was reported that Kharkiv-based photographer, video blogger and activist Ihor Hudenko had died. He went incommunicado on February 26. His body was discovered near a bypass close to Northern Saltivka in Kharkiv Oblast. Ihor Hudenko activelly reported on the defense against the Russian invasion. On February 25, he uploaded a video of destroyed Russian military equipment — the next day he went incommunicado. His family and friends tried to find him, but without success. The search for Hudenko was organized by fellow eco-activists, along with paramedics and volunteers who later found his body in Northern Saltivka.
Ihor Hudenko co-wrote the documentary film "Yevhen Kotliar, the Hero of Ukraine" and was an active participant of the Green Movement in Kharkiv. During the Revolution of Dignity, he filmed the mass shooting of the Heavenly Hundred on Instytutska St in the center of Kyiv.
